How to Reach Alt-an Lodge
By Road:
From the South:
Exiting Glasgow (Paisley) Airport, follow road signs for Erskine Bridge. Take the A82 (North) to Crainlarach – Tyndrum – Fort William. Alt-an Lodge is located 1 mile (1.60km) further on, after entering Fort William, alongside Loch Linnhe and before reaching the town proper.
From the North:
From Inverness take the A82 (South) towards Fort William, 66 miles (106km). Continue into the centre of Fort William, then alongside Loch Linnhe before joining the road to Oban (A82) at the West End Car Park / Roundabout. Alt-an Lodge is located 1 mile (1.60km) further on, alongside Loch Linnhe. A taxi is advisable during inclement weather or contact Alt-an for pick-up.
By Train:
Only one train route operates from Glasgow (Queen Street) to Fort William.
Alt-an Lodge is located 2 miles (3.20km) from the train station – through the town centre to the West End Car Park / Roundabout. Alt-an Lodge is located 1 mile (1.6km) further on, alongside Loch Linnhe. A taxi is advisable during inclement weather or contact Alt-an for pick-up.
By Bus:
Fort William can only be reached from the South via Glasgow (Buchanan Street) Bus Station or Inverness Bus Station from the North.
Alt-an Lodge is located 2 miles (3.20km) from the bus station – through the town centre to the West End Car Park / Roundabout. Alt-an is located 1 mile (1.6km) further on, alongside Loch Linnhe. By Air:
Scotland has three main International Airports:
Glasgow (International) Airport.
Glasgow (Prestwick) Airport, located at Ayr, south of Glasgow.
Edinburgh (International) Airport
Inverness Airport is also only 70 miles away.
